On Monday, November 13, 2023, allegations surfaced on social media claiming Kwaku Boahen who is the Deputy Communication Director of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) had said the Vice President isn’t a Northerner.
The claim was extensively circulated including Sir Obama, a leader of the Bawumia Must Win (BMW) a pressure group formed to support the Vice President in his ambition to become the next President.
Some social media users who also found the allegation disturbing joined in sharing the artwork which had an image of Deputy Communication Director and an unknown logo, Democracy Dispatch.
After advance checks by Political Fact Ghana, we can confirm that the said claim which made waves on various social media platforms is false and deceptive.
Kweku Boahen has not said anything of the sort.
It is said that such assertions are deliberate deeds intended to delude the people against the Deputy NDC Communication Director.
