Claims making waves that the Vice President have plans of installing a Mamprusi as a king in Bawku false.
On Thursday November 9, 2023, the above claim surfaced on social media causing controversies. The false claim featured an artwork where the image of the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia said, “AS President I will install a Mamprusi King in Bawku.”
It is alleged that the false claim was widely circulated across the X app by some accounts to instigate the people of Bawku against the Vice President.
